Desert Edge senior Gurleen Dulay has been selected the March 2026 Student of the Month for Outstanding Achievement in Academic Excellence.
Gurleen was selected by Principal Gretchen Hann who shared this narrative:
Gurleen Dulay is a responsible, driven, and well-rounded student who consistently demonstrates dedication to excellence in all that she pursues. She approaches every task with focus, determination, and a positive attitude, and her strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond make her a pleasure to have in class. Gurleen has challenged herself through the most rigorous AP and upper-level math coursework our school offers, showing mastery at the highest levels while maintaining careful attention to detail. She actively pursues her passion for medicine through HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) and her sports medicine internship at Abrazo West Campus, while also serving as President of the National Honor Society, where she is committed to meaningful community service. As a student athlete, Gurleen has competed on both the Badminton and Tennis teams, earning numerous All-State Academic honors. She gives her absolute best to her teams, mentors younger athletes, and serves on our campus FAFSA (Federal Financial Student Aid) team. Gurleen’s ability to balance academic rigor, leadership, service, and athletics with organization and integrity makes her a truly deserving recipient of the Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Student of the Month in the category of Academic Excellence.
