Dolly Parton Imagination Library
Please donate to the Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation-DPIL program and share the gift
of literacy, targeting children from birth to age five.
The DPIL program is a powerful way to engage children in early literacy and language development. Research has found that early indicators of success in reading are dependent on the number of books in the home, opportunities to be read to and engage with books. The DPIL program provides .... a hand-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality book each month to our children up to the age of 5 setting them up for success!

Food Projects
Arizona ranks 5th in the U.S. for the highest food insecurity rates. Just over one million people in Arizona are struggling with hunger, which translates to 1 in 4 children, 1 in 5 adults, and 1 in 7 seniors. These are our friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. The Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank serves approximately 50,000 individuals experiencing hunger annually here in the Southwest Valley. All Faith Community Services serves approximately 2000 individuals a month. Unfortunately, the communities served are some of the poorest – not only in the state, but in the country. One of our club’s favorite service projects is the Holiday Food Box and Book Distribution. Our Community Service committee works with Avondale and Litchfield Elementary School Districts to identify children and their families who could use some extra help in December due to unemployment or other family crisis. |

Literacy & Youth Programs
Our Rotary club believe that one of our greatest obligations to our society is to support and help children and teens as they grow and mature into young adults. Rotary supports youth in developing the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and professional goals, and have the self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and abilities to carry them out. This is done through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), a camp held held once a year in Pine Rock.
Interact Clubs-Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Our Rotary club sponsors 3 high school Interact clubs in the SouthWest Valley.
