During the school year, many children rely on the daily hot lunch programs provided through the Palm Valley Elementary School. But when school closes for holidays and breaks, that dependable source of meals disappears for some families.
It’s hard to imagine children going home for a full week without enough food.
That’s why members of the Rotary Club of Goodyear Pebble Creek stepped up. Together, we packed backpacks with easy-to-prepare foods and snacks so these students will have something to help sustain them during Spring Break.
These backpacks represent more than food — they represent care, compassion, and a community that looks out for its kids.
