Desert Edge High School Senior Samara Doversola-Williams has been selected the January 2026 Student of the Month for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Science.

Samara was nominated by her teacher Ms. Sharleen Nunez, who shared this narrative:

The Science Department is proud to nominate Samara Doversola-Williams for Student of the Month in Science. She pushed herself academically by taking on Biology, Honors Physics, AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science. This is a challenging course load that shows her genuine passion for science. Beyond her classes, she served as the Robotics Club President as a sophomore, leading her peers while juggling all her other commitments. What makes her stand out isn't just her love of learning, but how hardworking and considerate she is with everyone around her, all while staying active in badminton and tennis. She brings enthusiasm and kindness to everything she does, whether it's a tough physics problem, a robotics project, or supporting her teammates. Her dedication to academics, leadership in robotics, involvement in athletics, and thoughtful character make her an excellent choice for this recognition.
